"For decades, I suffered from the agonizing pain of trigeminal neuralgia – as a nursing student, I was taught that this was the most severe pain known to humans. If it’s actually the worst, I don’t know. But I do know that it is absolutely, totally devastating, debilitating, and life-obliterating. A woman who gave birth to 2 boys who weighed in at 9lbs and up without a whimper, trigeminal neuralgia just destroyed me.
Over the years, I had tried any number of remedies: medications – the side effects were awful, gamma knife radiation – pretty good results …for a while, Botox injections – again merciful relief but no permanent resolution, and occasionally, trips to the ER for IV narcotics – no way for a girl to live!
My first visit to Peter was on December 8th, 2004. I had been injected with Botox 3 weeks before, I was taking the maximum dose of Dilantin (at least 2 doses every day and sometimes 3), and I was still in great pain. Since then, I’ve had no Botox and no more than 10 doses of Dilantin total (today is February 21, 2005). I’m PAIN FREE!
And I know that I will stay that way. The medical interventions are targeted at symptom relief. Peter’s approach goes to the causal factors and healing those. My trigeminal nerve, my whole body, and my life are enriched by the healing resources of the Howe Pain Relief Center. Thank you!"
