Journey through Native American Teachings and Traditions With Peter Howe, Keith Hagberry and Jill Turner

It is with great honour that we invite you to join us in this weekend to celebrate your lives, your potentials and your creations, through powerful meditations and ceremonies from the Native American traditions.

As you join us this weekend for a journey into your life, we invite you to immerse yourself into those aspects of yourself where you wish to grow, celebrate and explore. This weekend is for you to help bring peace and clarity to all aspects of yourself, and in doing so, you help create peace and raise the vibratory light of the planet we all share. In honouring yourselves this weekend, you serve others in their growth and the expansion of our planet.

We have outlined what this weekend is about; the ceremonies you will enjoy, including The Light Energization Ceremony, Teachings from Beautiful Painted Arrow – Joseph Rael (through Keith Hagberry) Tushwa (through Jill Turner) Prayer Ties, Sweatlodge, Long Dance and Give Away. This weekend brings together 3 people who wish to share in your growth and hold the space for you through these powerful ceremonies. It promises to be transformational and facilitates the building of your energy as the weekend progresses.

Preparing for the weekend (Creating A Banner of Your Life)

As part of your preparation for this weekend, we ask you to bring along a banner, which you will have designed and prepared (in advance) that expresses who you are and how you see your life from your birth to this moment and into your future, using materials, colours and design of your own choosing (the banner will be 2’ x 2’ any colour you desire, usually cloth is best, pictures, photos paintings and any other materials you choose this is your life you are describing and your banner to keep). Your banner will be placed inside the arbor of the Long Dance on Saturday evening.

Friday, October 24th, 2008 Evening

The Brazilian Light Energization Ceremony

On Friday Evening, you will experience the Brazilian Light Energization (BLE) Ceremony, which will be conducted inside the sacred Cairn (megalithic tomb) at Dunderry Park House. The BLE is a powerful light infusion, activating and balancing the energetic systems of the body, which accelerates DNA to signal atoms, molecules, and cells to vibrate at levels that attract more spiritual power, spiritual gifts, and unconditional love. Your spiritual power and vision continue to build momentum when you receive a Light Energization for up to 90 days following the ceremony. This will also prepare you for the weekend ceremonies over Saturday and Sunday.

You also have the opportunity to receive a private healings session (Thursday or Friday) with Peter Howe and Jill Turner, to prepare you on a deeper level for your weekend. Bookings for these sessions is required in advance. Spaces limited.

Teachings and Meditations with Trance-Channel Jill Turner (Tushwa)

Jill Turner will share the teachings and healings of Tushwa (Tibetan monk) as she works in trance, to bring some new insights and meanings into the world as we know it, the transition that we are experiencing, the changes in the planet and human consciousness.

Teachings with Keith Hagberrry and Peter Howe

Keith Hagberry, a long time student and friend of Joseph Rael and Peter Howe will share the teachings of Beautiful Painted Arrow, (Joseph Rael), View Video of Beautiful Painted Arrow a Ute- Pueblo Native American. In this weekend teaching session with Keith and Peter, you will learn some of the practical aspects of creating peace within yourself and bringing it out in the word, and learn more about Joseph Rael’s vision for the world.

Afternoon

Prayer Tie Ceremony

You will then create your own prayer ties, in preparation of for the sweatlodge in the afternoon. You will set your intentions for your lodge and for the long dance later in the evening. This is all part of the opening up, letting go of the limitations and inviting in new ways of being in the world.

Sweatlodge Ceremony

The Sweat Lodge is one of the most ancient sacred ceremonies, used by indigenous peoples all over the world as a ritual of healing that initiates powerful changes on all levels- physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. The beauty of the ceremony is in the ritual, and the power is in the prayers that are traditionally offered to the four directions, North, South, East and West. The Sweat Lodge ceremony is an opportunity for us to pray in an intensely blessed environment, one that asks us to sacrifice part of ourselves. It is through the deep penetrating steam that the Lodge activates release and manifestation.

Saturday Evening – Sun down

Long Dance Ceremony

Dancers commence the dance at sun down and will dance along their life line, dancing through their past and future, releasing the aspects that no longer serve and inviting in the new. Dancers will dance in a circle surrounded by their banners they bring with them. They will dance to the sound of a drum. The dance offers to all people the chance to step into their greatest potential. Dancers are asked not to eat food or drink water during the dance. Fasting increases the dancers’ vibration, and brings a higher level of opening, awareness, and release. The energy of the dance is held with the highest integrity by the dancers’ sacrifice, and by the attentiveness of Peter Howe, Ceremonial Chief, Keith Hagberry and Jill Turner (Sun Father and Moon Mother). They are committed to working to help hold the space for growth and healing of all dancers. The dance will continue through the night until the energy of the dance is complete.

Give Away Ceremony

This is a sacred ceremony often conducted by the Native Americans at the end of a dance, a lodge of a gathering. In this ceremony, we give away something that means a lot to us, is significant in our lives, and that would be difficult to let go of. It is highly symbolic in showing us the gift that lies in releasing and letting go that which we hold on to.

Community Feast and Sharing

We will conclude the weekend with a gathering of all dancers and support people, to enjoy a meal and share our experiences through discussion in the group, where people will have the opportunity to articulate their experience, learnings and insights, if they wish.
